A Chinese Food Christmas

Did you know the movie "A Christmas Story" made Chinese cuisine popular to eat at Christmas time? In the movie, the Parker family goes out to eat on Christmas at The Bowling Chop Suey Palace after the Bumpus Hounds eat their turkey. They describe their meal at the restaurant as "Chinese turkey," although what they're really eating is duck.
Bo Lings first opened in 1981, and our owners worked in their family-owned Chinese restaurant for some years before that. "A Christmas Story" came out in 1983, and our owners say it was amazing to see the impact the movie had on their business around the holiday! Christmas became one of their busiest times of year, and has continued that way ever since.
Whether you're eating traditional turkey or Chinese turkey or something else, we hope you have a wonderful Christmas Eve, and a very Merry Christmas!
