Our Family Business

Since the opening of Bo Lings in 1981, the restaurant has been a family-owned and family-operated business. As a young married couple, Richard and Theresa branched off from working at the family restaurant owned by Theresa's father to start their own. Although the two already had years of restaurant experience, they had no experience of how to actually run a business themselves, and felt like they had to learn a lot of things backwards, through much trial and error. The journey was long to making Bo Lings what it is today.

Richard and Theresa raised their two children, Rebecca and Raymond, right within the walls of Bo Lings. They kept a crib for their first baby in the kitchen, so she could sleep there while they worked! It wasn't easy, trying to balance family life while running a growing business. However, they are grateful for where those busy and hectic years have brought them today--with a business the whole family is involved in, and with so many wonderful customers, who also feel like family!
